Out early after a gentle spring rain gave these flowers a good soaking. At minimum focus distance with a wide open 18-200 at 82 mm to show the background flowers as a nice arty blur just for context (otherwise they become distractions as the viewer has to wonder - what is the subject?)
Wore my knee pads and used a right angle viewfinder to compose this at ground level without having to actually lay on the ground - just almost. My tripod (and even the camera) were pretty muddy afterwards - and my shoes were a mess. What we do for art ;-)
