Went down along the banks of Bull Run (Manassas Battlefield National Park) to check on bluebells. Only a very few plants are in bloom; most have about a week to go. But, hey, if you're shooting closeups you don't need thousands of plants in bloom. Back to the parking lot, grab my gear, and get to shooting. This plant was the only one I found with more than three blossoms open. The blue haze is sky (I'm on the ground shooting up; the lowest flowers are only 6 inches above the ground).
