Rains swept across Riyadh during the course of three days in what was apparently the worst rain storm for over a decade. My flight was delayed by about 3 hours because of it. I had to laugh, though, because it was nothing worse than a heavy spring shower in England. I presume the runway's drainage couldn't cope.

(Incidentally, there is no such thing as customer servcie in Riyadh airport so avoid until they get their act together!)
