World.JPG

Islamabad, Pakistan

Fleeing from the confines of an exhibition hall, I took to my feet for 10 minutes or so and was quite taken by the modern art-style metallic sculpture of the world on the roundabout and the contrast with the grand ridge in the distance.

Roundabouts - a much maligned legacy of the former British empire!

The two chaps walking towards me make me think of "Resevoir Dogs"...

I'm almost in love with Pakistani mountains. Especially with the highest ones. "The average elevation range of Pakistan is 900 m (2,953 ft). The highest point of Pakistan is K2, with its official height being 8611 m (28,253 ft). " (source:http://www.confiduss.com/en/jurisdictions/pakistan/geography/ )
Looking for the trip to Pakistan in nearest future. Wish me luck)

No Steve - it's just me being cr*p with the camera. Mountains are some way in the distance so perhaps they're helping to create the haze effect that replicates the "through-a-car-window-at-speed" look ;-)

Another 'shot from car'?
