Washed by the Gulf of Oman, soaked in the richness of the Arabian sea...and I could only capture a fleeting image of its beauty from a speeding 4x4. There's a hint though, just a glimpse if you will, of a marina every bit as lovely as the blue sky it reflects! A bike ride along the promenade would have given every opportunity to enjoy the scenery rather than a whirlwind tour by car but it was not to be. Bike ride? Blue skies? Here's some trivia for the pub quiz: the colour of skies, by the way, can be explained by a process called Rayleigh scattering.

Okay, the picture might be quite awful but at least it's educational! ;-)
