Ye Olde Photographer and his Faire Spouse only touched the southeast corner of this state but saw some spectacular scenery. We crossed the eastern border on Interstate 70, traveling westward from Grand Junction, Colorado. The state gives a whole new understanding of the word desert! Nearing one interchange on I-70 we saw a sign that stated:

Interstate 70 No Services Next 106 Miles

Clearly this is an area not to be too casual about travel preparation and planning!

Utah is the location of a number of famous US National Parks and also has some interesting state parks.

Our visit to Utah was part of the Grand Tour 2016, a 5800 mile drive through flyover country!
