Arches National Park is a mind-boggling landscape almost like another planet! Towering spires of colorful rock in a sort of "high desert" environment. There are all sots of scenic views in addition to the actual arches that are left from a selective erosion and collapse of ancient rock. There is also the Salt Valley, a long and wide valley between two craggy ridges that is a result of underground salt deposits having dissolved and leaving a massive tunnel-like hollow that later caved in.
The park is huge, more than 119 square miles and has miles of roads and many trails as well as a campground. The park is located just north of Moab Utah, near the southern border of the state.
This was part of the Grand Tour 2016, a 5800 mile drive through flyover country!
