Around the Lake

We spent a truly wonderful day circumnavigating Lake Tahoe. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast at the JAX Truckee Diner (thanks, Guy Fieri, for the tip) and strolled around picturesque downtown Truckee. We drove to Squaw Valley/Olympic Village and rode the aerial tram to High Camp where we ate lunch and marveled at the fantastic views, including Lake Tahoe in the distance. We then drove the rest of the way around the lake, which looks beautiful everywhere, but perhaps especially so at Emerald Bay. Our last stop was for a delicious pizza dinner at Tomaato's, across the street from our hotel, thanks to a tip from our new friend and fellow traveler Patrick Rawnsley.
