After separating from the US Navy in 1999 I swore off on all white dress shirts, as in will not, won't, don't and shall not wear them. Period~

However, I am making an one time exception for a wedding I am in, and after that event, you can find a very like new worn once white oxford 17 1/2 34-35 dress shirt at the local goodwill store....

White dress shirts are a sod to maintain. But I have more of an aversion to checks. This of course has to do with my height to width ratio. I do sometimes pine for the days when some of my "business meetings" required nothing more than nondescript olive drab or brown khaki cloth gear, which I always found to be most comfortable. But even if I still had it and it still fitted me (which I don't and it doesn't), it would tend to get one looked at strangely in the local mall since it doesn't really blend in in that particular environment. So for me these days it's mostly blue with stripes or grey with stripes business shirts on weekdays, and T-shirts with "SPQR" emblazoned across the front on weekends, and getting yelled at by another household member for not having enough range in my clothes. Which, from this shot, is a criticism that you would be immune from.

Good for you, I think I have one white dress shirt to wear with my tux, which I picked used one year when daughter was married in Aug. and son in Apr. Came in handy on a cruises twice also! But I think you gave me a good idea, our local thrift store needs one of these!
