I've (mostly) stopped thinking of it that way. Think of it more like painting the ship; it's just "something that you do", and a task which never ends until the thing is hauled off to the breaker's yard. Although as an AO you may have been spared that, I'm really not sure how the allocation of that work is done on a CV. (Nor do I want to, given my nautical aversion...) The only way in which I'm making an exception is in the knowledge that this year I'll have hit more shots than any year since I've been PADing. (Not a great achievement to literal 365-per-yearers, but I'm quite happy with it.) Beyond that I refuse to think of 2015 as being a "new PAD" because the thought of 365 slots to fill is quite offputting. No, come January 1, I'm just shooting again just like I did yesterday, and the day before. It's just going into a different gallery is all.
