Almost 120 inches of cabinet length to my immediate right will serve as nothing but a "catch all" if I am not careful. I made the cabinet top from 3/4 inch MDF and had plans on painting it with a combination of lacquer pair/thinner from a recipe that I got out of one of my WoodSmith magazines. However, I am now thinking about gluing a formica/plastic laminate to the top. The main factor will be if I can find a laminate that complements the cherry cabinets. The lamination process is not hard and the seam with the long leg of the "L" with the short leg would not be too terribly difficult. I have not permanently attached the counter top to the cabinets so it can be moved. Any suggestions Tim? I am not in a big hurry to do this yet but will decide in the next couple of months.
