"Los Angeles Haze"

Today I spent with my sister, driving from my little suburb to her little suburb, the two towns connected by a very busy Los Angeles freeway. I had gone over there with one goal in mind: to embrace my inner 1970's geek that came into being when I was a very young age. We were going to spend a few hours watching my new DVD set that featured my sister's and my first great crush. Yes, yes...you know him...you know the man...

Dave Starsky.

Oh yeah...Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul as "Starsky and Hutch," the entire first season for $31.99 at Sam's Club. Whooooo!!!!

I'd been in sixth grade and had very liberal parents - in fact, so liberal, my sister and I can't figure out how it is we got to watch such a "gritty" program on at 10:00 on Wednesday nights. Anyway, I had tennis shoes like Starsky's. My sister had the Hutch attitude - cool and detached with a simmering anger. She had it pretty good for a fourth grader. We were madly in love with those overly-affectionate men. So today, we found ourselves in stitches over the drama and giving each other, "Oh...so cute!!!" looks. We totally remembered that all-consuming LOVE.

What is it? Ahhh...my inner Los Angeles Geek.

This has the commuter 'blahs' written all over it Carolyn. The tone
sets the mood quite well.

Ohhh.. David Soul. Such a good looking guy. I had an old boyfriend that reminded me of him. So I'd watch Starsky and Hutch and dream about the old boyfriend. Wow, that was such a long time ago...

Joseph: indeed everyday, big city traffic is a special kind of hell! Ann: LOL on Hutch! I wanted to see the movie as I like Ben Stiller - I'll check in with you after. ;) Thank you! Ray: The traffic has only gotten worse. Thank you! JD: That's VERY funny about Dukes! You and I are only a year apart - we watched and loved Dukes, too - my brother loved the car stuff and my sister and I liked...well, the Dukes. LOL Thanks so much.

I was born in '65 and I remember watching Dukes of Hazzard when I was a kid! I thought it was sooooo very cool! I saw a rerun a couple of years ago and had to laugh out loud about how stupid it was! I wasn't laughing at the show, but at myself for thinking it was so great way back then... Nice story, and great photo!

This freeway looks familiar from my visit four years ago...
Nice finish on the image!

LOL... I was *in love* with Hutch! My hubby insisted we go see the movie one night and I... well, maybe I shouldn't say what I thought... perhaps you are going to go see it. Ok.. nevermind. ;) Anyway... love your image as well.
