"Reflection"

There's a little digital manipulation around the pool of water to hide unattractive ground, old, bruised concrete. Then, I flipped the image. What is it? A shot of our porch after the kids played with the hose beneath the first hot sun of the coming spring. After fooling with a bunch of pictures I shot today, I picked this one. Not because it was the best, but rather because it spoke to me of these days in my life, these last days before my mother's probate case closes. We'll have cleaned up the last technicalities of her life, tied off the remaining loose ends. I'll be done as her lawyer...as her care-taking daughter. The prospect leaves a renewed hole in my heart. So all I ask today is that the "hole" be filled with prettiness and blue skies.

Beautiful image and a reminder of what life sometimes leaves us. A hole that has the ability to be filled with something as beautiful as what was there before. An empty spot has infinite possibilities. Thank you for sharing.

I probably didn't describe it well enough. I literally shot a puddle that was on the floor of our patio - the floor is made up of smooth stones set into concrete. Thank you though for signing in here. :)

Love this image even though I still don't quite understand it. Touching post.

Touching entry for the day. May your the hole her passing has left in your life be filled with joy for the life she gave you. Blessings.
