Attracted by loud music I came upon a dusty square where, in front of some houses, these musicians were preparing for a wedding. I was invited but didn't stay.

A typical modern ‘orkestra’ which plays at weddings and circumcision parties: ‘elektro saz’ and ‘org’ (+ amplifiers, of course). Both musicians will do the singing too; although not professional, their repertoire tend to be quite extensive, from traditional popular songs to the latest successes heard on turkish radio and television. Their wages, discussed in advance, are increased by contributions from those partygoers, who want a particular song to be played.
