Harran Gate mosaic
Dating from the 5-6th century this mosaic was discovered in Şanlıurfa near the Harran Gate. Two scenes are visible, one on the top side of the axis, the other on the bottom side. They show respectively a lion chasing a wild goat with, behind a tree, a bull looking at this scene, and a deer and bull on either side of a tree with another deer in the back. Thus one scene is very mobile, the other calm.
