These mosaics were discovered in a basilical church in the Sogüzü village in the district Yumurtalık district of Adana, and is attributed to the fourth-fifth centuries AD. The mosaic from the nave is arranged as three panels, divided by geometric motifs. The outer panel features a tree of life in the centre flanked with peacocks. The rectangular panel in the middle is flanked with a band of floral motifs. The cross motifs are filled with guilloche, the hexagons with s-scrolls and the octagons with various animals amidst plants. The mosaic pavement in the left aisle features rectangular and square panels formed with straight bands, square panels are filled with geometric motifs whereas the rectangular ones with series of circles and rug design. The mosaic was so large I had to take pictures from different angles, the pictures together provide a fair image of what it is in toto.
