Ramazan Bayrakoğlu. Portrait of Alexandra Maria Lara, 2008. 185x250 cm. Ramazan stitches coloured fabrics together, recreating stills from films or photographs. In doing so he “invites us to think about the social and cultural codes that we use to interpret visual information” and to “reassess the myth of the modern artist confronted by an overabundance of images in today’s world”.
