Ankara Anatolian Civilizations Museum september 2014 1323.jpg

Human skull, with mouth, nose, eyes and ears depicted with clay and painted with ocher; on the right side, the clay was taken off, to make the skull visible.
Thirteen of these skulls were excavated at the Late Neolithic Period site of Köşk Höyük, 17 km south of Niğde.
Dated to approximately 5000 BC.
