Golden buttons. 2 cm diameter, ½ cm height. From a burial chamber at Altıntepe (near Erzincan),
Urartian, c. 700 BC.
In total 31 large buttons were found, all of the same type. Decorated in granular technique. Six leaved rosette in the centre and six simple rosettes without leaves arranged around it. The buttons reflect the customs of sewing discs on clothing during the early part of the 1st century BC.
