Over the last few years I have seen many panels of tiles like this one, in the Taksim subway station. Their style is peculiar: Ottoman-style perspective, and a mixture of ancient happenings and modern scenes. Here you see Mehmet transporting ships overland to pass by the iron chain that supposedly protected Constantinople in 1453 (and then didn't), but also the boats and bridges in the Bosporus. The colours are gorgeous.
