There is no such area, I gave it that name when I, to my great delight, saw the first life fox (in Turkey that is. In Holland I sometimes hand-feed them, as they are not threatened by hunters in the dunes near Amsterdam). I'd seen traces, and a while ago took a picture of a dead fox. So I knew they're there. During a walk in this area (which is south-west of Ürgüp, and stretches into the direction of Ortahisar) I saw a definite life fox. Hence the name. The region is wonderful, and hardly spoiled by tourism (I saw a group of mountain bikers, though).

Returning in 2017 I was disturbed once by some tourists on quads (All-terrain vehicle), with a guide on a scooter. For a while this was the end of the silence that reigns supreme here and made me fear for the future. On the other hand, I heard and later saw lots of hoopoes, some Egyptian vultures, some golden orioles and oozles of nightengales. I added mainly panoramic pictures that I took in the area. No special order. A few months later I returned and again enjoyed the area greatly. And in 2019 I saw a second fox. I was also informed that the hunting has stopped. One man told me how he repeatedle was joined by an almost tame fox when barbecuing, he did this for a week, and the fox would come an join him.
