These mosaics were discovered in a basilical church at Faydalı village of Imamoĝlu district of Adana; they are dated to the mid-sixth century AD. They are arranged as panels, each of which is decorated with various animal figures, floral and geometric motifs. The mosaic from the nave is arranged as three panels. The panel by the entrance has a five-line dedicatory inscription in Greek reading “Zosimus, the most loyal, presented with thanks during the time of Priest Cyriacus. Indiktion 15, year 570.” The left aisle has another dedicatory inscription, reading “Scholar Rufus had the mosaic pavement of this basilica made in the month of Auduneos of the first indiktion during the time of the respectable Priest George.“ This indicates that the mosaic was completed in the month of January.
