Çavuşin on one hand is one of my favourite destinations in Cappadocia. Either walking through Rose Valley, or descending from Aktepe, or walking from Avanos or Paşabağı: somehow I find myself in Çavuşin, waiting for a bus to take me back to Ürgüp, or drinking tea before continuing my walk. In November 2014 again I hopped that bus at least four times, which for a stay of nine days is a good score.

On the other hand: Çavuşin to me is a place to drink tea, enjoy the views, watch the tourists being taken in by the tradespeople, but that is about it. I do no longer feel an urge to climb the crumbling rock above the centre, and the Çavuşin Church, though a World Heritage site, forbids the taking of pictures. So in effect Çavuşin pictures always became part of some walk, without a gallery for the place itself. I now rectify this. I may copy some pictures from other galleries to improve it. And in 2018 I found some legitimate old slides that I scanned of the church.
