Experiment March 30

I approached a local group to discuss doing a calendar of shots of community historic buildings and sites. One person thought a more interesting treatment than photos would be to make them look more like drawings or paintings. I did some experimenting today with different techniques.
Opinions please.

Very nice, Donna!

I think the treatment is subtle enough to work. Gives the images a little punch, which works nicely.

Respectfully, I didn't see the main images as sketches originally - I just thought they were oversharpened a bit. Agree on the PS filters as a possibility. It's really cool that you've been given the chance to do some historical building work. Hope you show it here as a project!

Looks good.. also layering some of the 'sketch' filters in photoshop can give you some fun effects.. (trying different layer effects too, gives for some fun experimentation too) Have fun playing!

This is a really great experiment Donna. I really like this effect a lot. Especially the second picture to the right. Very well done in every aspect. This appears to have taken a lot of work. Vote for the arteeest ( emulated a french accent)
