Iron Range is a remote area of lowland rainforest, woodland and heath near Lockhart River community on the east coast of Cape York Peninsula in north Queensland.

In late April and early May 2022, I visited the area for 16 days to survey butterflies. Here's a few photos I took of the 85 species I found.

I revisited Iron Range for 8 days in July 2022, taking my total of butterflies for the area to 97 species - and took more photos.
