Bright Cornelian

on fruit of Claudie Tulipwood (Harpullia ramiflora)

I planted two Claudie Tulipwoods to encourage the Bright Cornelian, as the species lays its eggs on the fruit - the caterpillars eat the seeds from the inside.
This is the first year the tulipwoods have been mature enough to produce much fruit, and the first year I've seen the cornelians taking an interest in them.
