Bordered Rustic caterpillar

Not pretty! But the chrysalis and especially the butterfly it turns into (next two photos) sure are.
This is on a shrub, Flacourtia sp Shiptons Flat, that I planted in my garden to attract the butterfly.
The shrub species doesn't yet have a full scientific name (and no common name that I know of). It is referred to by the Queensland Herbarium as "Flacourtia sp. (Shiptons Flat L.W.Jessup+ GJD3200)" (from their 2020 checklist).

Very nice wide format presentation a bit rustic but I bet a very beautiful Butterfly.
The bokeh is supreme.

How cool that you've been able to attract this very strange caterpillar - I'm guessing it doesn't have any predators :) Great shot V
