Cruiser female

The first and only time I've seen this species in my garden.
Normally inhabits rainforest, so it has wandered out of habitat to reach my place.
The male of this species is bright orange and lacks the pale panels in the forewings: https://pbase.com/donfranklin/image/171629823

other sizes: small medium large original auto

They come to visit since they know you're involved in good work in the realm of butterfly. What a gorgeous shot!

smart focus on the front end...what a wonderful creature, and it's colouring reminds of milk chocolate..

Still a beautiful butterfly even if not as brilliantly colored as the male.

A beautiful visitor and shot. You must be providing one of its host plants.
