# Elim Beach #

Our next destination was Elim Beach.
This is Aboriginal land and locals run a low-key campground just behind the beach and about a kilometre from a fine set of coloured-sand dunes. Though remote, it was surprisingly busy.
Elim Beach is backed by an extensive area of tropical heathland (a rare vegetation community) growing on wind-exposed white sands, with eucalypt woodlands on more sheltered sites.
