1957 - letter from Desser & Garfield, owners and developers of Carol City in northwest Dade County

Carol City, Dade County, Florida

Carol City was originally planned as "Coral City" but the city of Coral Gables objected to the name similarity so Coral was changed to Carol. This letter authorized the Carol City Civic Association, Carol City Women's Club, the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other civic groups to use their building at the northwest corner of NW 183rd Street and 27th Avenue for meetings.

Carol City never incorporated into their own town or city. Most of Carol City was incorporated into the City of Miami Gardens in the early 2000's.
