Yeah but consider this. You could fill the tank of you 57 Chevy with"High-Test", take you girl to a movie, have pop-corn, candy and Coke's. Then stop and have a couple of burgers fries and Coke's afterwards and have change left from the $5 dollar bill you left home with!
You would think it was cheap at first glance but minimum wage back then was probably $1.00 an hour if that. If you had ten items then you would have worked for an hour to pay for the fluff dry - folded without considering income tax deductions out of your pay.
