Unfortunately the Coast Guard emblem is not displayed on the base with the other four military services. While the memorial is dedicated to the Taos-area servicemen who served in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Persian Gulf War, it's hard to believe that not one Taos-area serviceman served in the U. S. Coast Guard during those wars.
