Day 1 - Big Sur/Carmel/Monterey
For our first day, we explored a little way along the coast in Big Sur, the Carmel Mission, Robinson Jeffers house, Pebble Beach, 17 Mile Drive and finished the day in downtown Monterey's Cannery Row and Wharf sections.

Day 2 - Literary Sites/Salinas Valley/Big Basin Redwood State Park
Day two took a literary flavor as we visited a place where Robert Louis Stevenson once lived and the National Steinbeck Museum. http://www.steinbeck.org/ Driving through the Salinas Valley and all its rich farm land percipitated a purchase of a fresh Artichoke that Nina later steamed. We finished the day at the Big Basin Redwood State Park.
