On the drive to Big Basin, we stopped in a great little restaurant in Felton called La Bruschetta. The weather was perfect and we sat beneath the giant trees enjoying our lunch.
Big Basin Redwoods
Redwoods tower as we hiked through the park. This was shot in a "redwood circle" that is caused when an old tree dies and new ones grow out from around it.
Rope Bark
The redwoods have all different types of bark exposed and this area on this tree had a rope look and feel to it.
Interior of a Burned Redwood
This was taken from inside of a dead and hollow redwood that had been burned in its past. I liked the light and pattern created by the inside surface.
