Big Sur Coast Line - IR
Driving south out of Carmel on Hwy. 1 heading to Big Sur, you are presented with a picturesque coast line that is hard to believe. The hardest part is trying to decide when to stop and what to shoot!
Hwy. 1 Bridge - IR
All along the drive, you come upon bridge after bridge that demand your attention. Most were built in the 1930s.
Bixby Bridge - IR
One of the most photographed of these bidges is the Bixby Bridge. We took a side road to get a less than usual angle of the bridge.
Carmel Mission
In Carmel, there is an old Spanish mission, the 2nd one to be founded in California, called Mission San Carlos. It was founded in 1771 and is still operating as a Parish. We toured it and I was able to capture some images in and around the mission.
Mission Altar
The mission is over 200 years old, but was completely renovated by the will and efforts of one primary person, Harrie Downie, over a 30 year period.
Mission Bed
This is one of the cells in which the mission priests would live/sleep in during their time at the mission.
