Parking meters were invented by Carl C. Magee of Oklahoma City in 1935. These early meters charged up to 25 cents for the day. From the Seaba Station Motorcycle Museum in Warwick, Oklahoma.

We've just got new ones that charge $1 - $2 an hour!! They don't have the aethetics of this one either. Very nice post=processing too.
