On the way to photograph a car show in Dewey, Oklahoma in May, I had the splendid good fortune to spend a day with fellow PBase artist Jeff Real and his delightful wife Yvetta, exploring and photographing various places on Route 66 in Oklahoma.

I have been a fan of Jeff's eclectic and inventive artistic style for quite a few years, but it was an amazing experience getting to see how he looked at things and then later see those same things after his artistic vision for them had been fully realized. He has the gift of being able to first of all see the artistic and story telling possibilities in every day scenes that most of us, myself included, would probably never notice and then to transform them into very unique works of art. Additionally, Jeff and Yvetta are very fun, interesting and easy to get along with souls who I look forward to going on more adventures with in the future. This gallery is my attempt to look at things more creatively and translate them into something different artistically. While I can never hope to emulate Jeff's style, nor would I try, I will attempt to really look at things as Jeff might and come up with some images hopefully as stylish, different and appealing.
