24-02-05 over the rooftops

I've been trying to get a shot of the rooftops for a couple of weeks. The trouble is that the only
way I could do this was from one of the meeting rooms. And I'd have looked a bit suspicious heading
in there with a camera. A bit like someone committing industrial espionage! Thankfully today I
was in a meeting with a colleague who's also somewhat of a photographer. Her speciality though is
sports photography (if you can term Dundee Utd. as sports!). But I digress, as soon as the
opportunity presented itself, I shot out into the office and back in with the Oly. Two shots
later and the PAD was taken!

Played a bit with the levels in Photoshop, but otherwise this was pretty much straight out of the
camera. As you can see the majority of our snow has now gone.

This is wonderful!
I like the over all greyness of the image, with hints of colour in the chimney pots ...
wonderful comp, Niall.

Your colleague must be a glutton for punishment! All of Linda's side of the family are Arabs!

I like the symmetry of this, the 'industrial' gray feel. Very nice.

Lucky you on the snow - we're getting dumped on yet again, as I type! It took one hour to go 20 miles, all highway.

Great shot of the rooftops - second the observation of Mary Poppins! We don't see that much over here.

Why am I thinking Mary Poppins & Peter Pan I wonder. Good take, Dom.

Great rooftops and such a densely populated area!

Nice repeating array of dormers, pretty much inspoiled. Usually there is a jumble of different extensions !

That's a lot of rooftops!! I often see good PAD opportunities out of my window at work, but I never feel able to get the camera out, it's not exactly discrete!
