It was a freezing cold day in Aberdeen today, with a wind that cuts through your clothes, and
chills you to the bone. I spent most of the time when outside, rushing from shelter to shelter.
This was taken on my return home this afternoon. And true to form 5 minutes later, the snow
was back on.
Inside the atmosphere wasn't any better. Things are still gloomy at work too. The Sword of
Damocles is still present, albeit, a bit less threatening today. Thankfully our department has
already been through the same thing twice now, so it's somewhat of a relief that this time
we're being missed out. That however, comes as scant comfort to the colleagues who have
narrowly hung onto their jobs.
Anyway, onto nicer matters. The football's on, the wine is open, and I'm off to sink the
remainder of a bottle of "Old Git", a recent birthday present from my in-laws.
