After a packed week, the weekend was a welcome diversion. I'd say break, but when you're so far
away from home, you don't want to miss a thing.
We (my colleague and I), were up fairly early and took a taxi to central station where we bought
tickets to go to Katoomba on the train. Two hours later we pulled into the station and bought more
tickets for the trolley bus tour round the area. We hopped off at the Gordon falls lookout point
and went bushwalking all the way along to Leura Cascades (More of that later).
You can see through the pass, why they're called the blue mountains. Basically it's the eucalyptus
oil being evaporated by the sun, and caught in the air. The oil has a slightly blue tinge to it,
making the mountains appear blue. Class over.
From there we went onto Scenic world, and the three sisters - unsurprisingly, more of that later
too.
Fly and run 'till it hurts.
