We arrived at the car rental place at 9 p.m. and they can't find our
reservation. I hand them my printed email confirmation, but that turns out
to be for a reservation the week before in Oakland.

This guy hands me the phone, and tells me to make another reservation over
the phone (rather than have him do it) to save money. I stand there, talking
to a reservation person who thinks I've walked into the Orlando airport and
want a car. I finally make the reservation, and have to call out the confirmation
number to this guy, who then gets on his computer and looks it up.

A few minutes later, we drive away in our rented Honda Civic.
