This started as a shot of my analog tv screen , while I was watching Charlotte's Web. The scanning lines from the tv were very dominant and colorful. I took the image into Noise Ninja and moved the first two sliders (not the contrast) to the extreme right for the most filtration. I followed that with use of the blur tool to get rid of any residual scanning lines. Picture looked blah and needed sharpening, but sharpening brought back the scanning lines. What to do? I decided to try the "find edges" filter in PS. Duplicated the background and ran "find edges" on that layer, selected the white color range and deleted those areas, allowing the background to show through. Then I lowered the opacity. Finished with a light sandstone texture.
