Campground

What a pleasant surprise when we turned off Route 12 at the park entrance. We felt "it" immediately & the debate of how long to stay, 2 vs. 4 nights, was suddenly a no brainer. At this former village of Fruita we found orchards, deer eating fallen apples, an old farmhouse (now a bakery, museum and gift shop)and the best campground we have found in any of the parks. Almost all the sites were spaced a good distance apart, under large shade trees, and the site pads and access roads newly paved.
