This is actually a wild bird that came into my friends yard along with his flock. His friends waited patiently above while he flew around landing on all of us. It was an amazing hour heading into darkness spent with my generous friends and this beautiful bird.
My friend went into the house to get his bird book so we could see the difference between the different kinds of Waxwings. The bird soon landed on his wrist and peered at the book.
At almost dark, after we had been in the house for some time, I was getting in my car and he landed on my head! I had to go back and get Larry and Terry to get some raisins and lure him to the backyard again.
He never returned and we all wish him well. You can view this and other winners at http://www.nwf.org/photozone/
