Ex-wife bombs
I have taken to calling these ex-wife bombs.
They were planted all over the house when she left.
Just those subtle reminders of her that crop up.
You never know when you will run across one of them.
They just all of a sudden appear out of nowhere.
I found this one tonight cleaning out the freezer.
It was laying there like a land mine waiting.
On my way home tonight I stopped at the store.
While there I decided to stock my freezer a bit.
Found this little bomb hidden in the bottom.
All wrapped up in a plastic bag to keep it fresh.
Ex-wife bombs used to be nuclear multi-megaton detonations.
They degraded over the past year to smaller proportions.
Down through TNT, cherry bombs, M80s, and firecrackers.
This one couldn't muster the power of a feather landing on a pillow.
After removing this one thing, there was plenty of room in the freezer.
Funny how that works ;-)
