I mentioned there were a lot of people at Mont St. Michel, didn't I? There was definitely no opportunity to take pictures without getting a lot of people in them.

This gate was built before 1420, and still has the porticullis in place, even though it doesn't work now. They just didn't build things to last in those days, I guess.
