Being one of the most symbolic landmarks to represent the Wild Wild West, this huge valley that lies between Arizona and Utah is a plateau with scattered vast sandstones that strikingly resemble momuments, statues, animals or architecture. Over the years the characteristic Monument Valley has been featured in many movies, TV commercials and still picture advertisements.
I was with the other tourists sitting on an open jeep (probably more appropriate to call it a truck) driven by a native guide on the bumpy and dusty paths, getting black and blue on my arms from trying to take pictures when moving. The bonus was at one of the stops, I came across a lovely little boy, less than 2 years old, who made me imagine what a calm and popular Indian chief would have looked like when he was a child.
Excellent captures of a place I've only heard about. V.

Denise - how sublime !
Once again you have spoilt us with photos of incredible purity. Just the other day I saw an ad for a trip to that area and wondered when I would get the time to go; so here I was satisfying my fantasy of traveling and you allowed me to do it in the comfort of my home.
Thanks a million for your inspirational work.
Keep them flowing to us.
With much love

Wow Denise!
Is there any part of the world you haven't been?
The Wild West has always fascinated me... the ultimate escapism!
Being safely ensconced in a chair in the movie theater or at home, one can stride side by side with Wyatt Earp in the OK Coral.
Thank you for sharing your experience.
