Giacomo Puccini, Italian composer known primarily for his operas. Widely regarded as the greatest and most successful proponent of Italian opera after Verdi.
He was born in Lucca and lived there till he was 22, then he lived in various cities of Italy till the last month of his life.
He went to Brussels, Belgium for his throat cancer treatment, where he died.
