Ghent, or Gent (in Dutch), or Gand (in French), was the only city in Belgium where it did not rain on me in 2006. I only spent a few hours there, hence did not have time to enter the castle. I spotted an antique car decorated so beautifully for wedding, and at the same time the newlyweds were coming out of the castle. Their photographer walked ahead of them and bent down beside me to change the lens. I looked at the bride and groom and we exchanged a smile. I knew I would only have a few minutes the most and didn't want to let this chance go, so I asked them quietly with hand signals if they would let me take a photo of them. They nodded also quietly but cheerfully. They even quickly posed for me (see the last two photos), I was excited as well as nervous, fearing that their professional photographer wouldn't like it. I just finished two snap shots when he stood up with his camera to continue with their photo session, not knowing what went on while he was taking care of his equipment. I was so grateful what this couple did for me - a total stranger whom they had never met. These are the only 3 photos from my 2006 trip that I want to use.
The sun was shining on them. I hope they have been living happily ever after.
Indeed nice memorable experience and excellent shots!

The bride and groom are for me, definitely the highlight of this album, but the buildings and castles are also like what one finds in fairy tales; you have convinced me that people there do live happily ever after.
