Bruges

Bruges, or Brugge (in Dutch), with its canals passing through parts of the city, is known as Venice of the North. It's a charming place with tons of tourists during the peak season.

During my 2011 trip, there was a lot of construction going on in Bruges, including inside their cathedral. I just spent all my time there outdoors.

One of my favorite place in Europe especially in winter like on your superb images. A well preserved medieval city where many Masters painted great works... One can dream of the past there. V

Denise, as usual, very lovely scenes of Bruges. I was there a few times long time ago, but your photos present Bruges in a more charming and peaceful atmosphere compared to what I saw sometime ago. I think the reason is that you are an excellent photographer capturing the real atmosphere and seeing it from an interesting angle. Well done, hope to see more medieval towns in Europe from your eyes !! Joe Tantos

Last time I visited Belgium was 28 years ago in a small Renault 5 and staying in camp sites with my University girlfriend who came from HK for summer holiday. We went to Brugges, Antwerp, Gant, Liege and Brussels. Brugges left me with the best memory with the tiny canals and historical buildings. Your beautiful pictures brought back some vague memories of how the place looked like. Thanks Denise.Ah Wan.
